Drive Test/Optimization

Initial site optimization of new sites to attain acceptable KPI thresholds for acceptance to the customer.

Verified newly added frequencies for possible co/adjacent clash in case of expansions.

Led a team of 10 engineers and 5 technicians for field optimization for a newly planned and site.

Conducted site surveys for potential new cell sites.

Provided recommendations for tuning antenna azimuths, tilt and antenna height, parameter changes, hardware modifications, and transmitted power settings for the RF environment.

Used M2000 for KPI monitoring.

Implemented KPI Analysis for traffic (blocking rate), network access, and QOS indicator analysis (call drop).

Used Seagull RF scanners for RSSI scan and spectrum analysis.

Used ATOLL 2.3.1 planning tool for planning 1X and EVDO sites, coverage analysis for signal level, Pilot reception analysis (Ec/Io), and Pilot Pollution.

Associate RF Engineer

Worked as an RF Engineer on an HSPA (UMTS) optimization Project for 748 cell sites. Used WindCatcher for post processing and analysis, proposing changes after coordination with TELUS engineers and coming to some conclusion to control pilot pollution, better coverage, change request for neighbor list and improved drop call to increase overall network performance.

Suggested changing existing antennas if required according to specs and terrain to achieve maximum performance.

Prepared acceptance reports to analyze KPIs in order to pass the KPIs.

Managed drive test engineers for conducting drive tests and arranging schedules.

Pilot Pioneer for optimizing EVDO Rev A service, analyzing C/I, RX, static, and dynamic DL&UL readings.
